I am based in Worcestershire, UK near the edge of the Cotswolds. I have photographed weddings as close as the local church in my village and as far away as Portsmouth on the south coast. I am happy to travel to meet your needs, however I do charge a small mileage fee for travel on the day of the wedding for distances over 15 miles.

If accommodation is considered to be required in cases of longer travel distances and particularly early starts then this is something that can be discussed during the pre-wedding consultation stage.

Bookings are secured with a non-refundable retainer of 20% of the package price and a signing of a wedding photography contract.

As part of your initial enquiry I usually like to do a pre-wedding consultation to answer any questions and to see if we are a good fit. Following the securing of a booking I like to try and do a venue visit with prospective couples to help walk through the day and plan shots beforehand in order to reduce any stress and help things move smoothly on the big day.

My main aim on the day is to capture the images that we will have discussed during any pre-wedding consultations and in a manner that is not disruptive to your day. If formal family groups and couple photographs have been requested then I try to keep this part of the proceedings the only time I step in and take an active role in organising the couple and guests. Everything else, I try to capture in a natural manner.

Ian Hartwell Images has previously held a PfCO qualification from the CAA for a number of years and now holds an A2 Certificate of Competency qualification for the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in the UK. It should be noted however that this service is very much venue and weather dependent. Please enquire for more details.

For a full day coverage wedding I aim to deliver 300+ fully edited images 4-8 weeks after the wedding, depending on my workload at the time. These will be a combination of colour and black and white images. Your images are delivered via a password protected online gallery where clients have the ability to create favourites lists and mark photos as private. This is a great feature if you wish to gift images to guests ahead of them being able to download them for themselves. Clients can also request an optional Guest password which has more limited features such as simply viewing and downloading images. You may also request a mobile app of your gallery so that you can show friends, family and colleagues highlights of your big day all the more easily.
